My client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation are looking for an Engineering Project Manager for a large multimillion Euro facility extension.

Responsibilities:

The position must operate as an internal Process Development Engineering Manager position.

The Project Manager & Engineer (single figure) must have both project management and technical skills (gained from direct experience in operational departments, preferably maintenance) to be able to independently manage technical information between plant personnel and engineering companies.

Experience with commercial LNP manufacturing processes (and possibly designing the transition from clinical to commercial scale) is preferred; alternatively implementation of new manufacturing processes in a manufacturing plant.

Must prepare project GMP documentation, whether final URS or preliminary URS to be completed by engineering companies, for selection of the most important equipment in terms of process functionality. 

During the development of the engineering project he shall carry out field visits with the plant engineers to acquire plant and technical knowledge and any problems and be able to properly pass them on to the engineering company in charge of FEED for the development of the project and whatever may be required for its proper completion.

Must be able to independently evaluate and develop options for solutions to the various problems, options to be proposed to the engineering company for due technical/economic evaluation, or to be submitted and shared in advance with internal staff to decide which option to follow.

Must interface directly with the various roles of the plant functions (without being exhaustive Production, QA, QC, Maintenance, Procurement) to acquire or to share choices and approaches.
